Former Doctor Charged with Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor now faces charges for committing assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.
The Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
