I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
