King Seeks Andrew to Lose Vice Admiral Title, Official Confirms
The Ministry of Defence is working to remove the Duke's final honorary title in accordance with the wishes of King Charles, the defence secretary has announced.
John Healey stated the King had "made clear this is his preference".
Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his princely title on this past week, retained his Vice Admiral position in the Royal Navy after surrendering his remaining defense appointments in the previous year.
"This is the correct course of action, the Monarch has signaled we should proceed with this and we're working on that at the moment," Healey stated to a Sunday news program.
