That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.
It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

When she was removed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.
"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to do that now," added Healy.
"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."
That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this World Cup want to hear.
Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.
Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.
