Former President Trump announced on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to visit the executive mansion.

He mentioned that he conversed with her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Officials have charged a 29-year-old suspect with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of violent assault while armed.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had bravery,” he addressed the gathering at the vigil. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
