Goalkeeper
Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham): Even though finishing on the defeated team against Chelsea, his teammates let him down. He was up against 18 shots, nine directed at goal, with an expected goals of 3.36 for the visitors yet he kept them in it. He stood firm on his team.
Backline
Nico O'Reilly (Manchester City): This youngster is exceptional. Naturally a central midfielder, he slots in brilliantly at left-back. His display in the win over Bournemouth was impressive, marking him as a future star.
Gabriel (Arsenal): A constant menace, he helped secure a further shutout for his club. He remains a nuisance from set-pieces, just being there made the difference in the triumph at Turf Moor. Rival teams are intimidated by him.
Jean-Clair Todibo (the Hammers): Selected for a couple of factors: his team's victory and his measured, confident display. Although the Magpies were not at their best, he excelled in possession and settled the play. Following a few uncertain displays, he appears to have improved under boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ryan Sessegnon (the Cottagers): He ignited the team in the win over Wolves. Outstanding going forward and consistent throughout the term, he has found the net to his game. Fantastic to see him fit and playing.
Midfielders
Moises Caicedo (Chelsea): The sole midfielder everyone agrees on. Absolutely pivotal for his club, he stood as the top tackler. Like the Duracell Bunny, he pushes the team ahead. Perhaps the finest defensive mid in the game.
Declan Rice (the Gunners): Another pivotal display against the Clarets. An absolute beast, he scored and shines from set-pieces. As playing lesser teams, he regains energy and executes more attacking runs. Crucial to unleash him.
Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool): He advanced, getting a goal versus a poor Villa team. His skill to control the game with and without the ball, plus his awareness and challenges, rendered him essential to the win.
Forwards
Diego Gomez (Brighton): He netted two goals against Leeds, and his style was graceful gliding past opponents. Moving with pace and power, he edged out fellow attacker Danny Welbeck for this spot.
Erling Haaland (City): What else is there to say about this phenomenon? Every time he broke through, a goal seemed certain. He didn't appear like missing. The ruler has returned. Despite off-season chatter about other strikers, the Norwegian reigns supreme. He could shatter scoring records this season.
Rayan Cherki (City): Playing high on the right suits him best. Incredibly ambidextrous, uncommon since Santi Cazorla. He takes free-kicks equally well. A gifted player, he appears sharp post-recovery. His connection with Haaland is evidently why he was signed.
Gaffer
Nuno Espirito Santo (the Hammers): Haven't seen it, just watch the way he celebrated their third versus the Magpies. That shows how much it matters for him and the team. He's aware West Ham are under pressure, yet they must persevere and secure results.
